CityAirbus, the urban shuttle by Airbus, had its first public demo flight at the end of July in Germany. While Uber is pushing hard to start their actual service in 2023, CityAirbus might become the future of Airbus. It would be a major shift in business, from the giant 4-jet engines A380 to a small 4-propeller electrical metropolitan shuttles. Will this become a major line of business for the European manufacturer? A way to make up for uncertain times in the aerospace business? Is this a gadget for Airbus or one of these turning points in the history of the company when you could be doomed if you miss the next market trend, like Kodak did.
